At 10:30 every Thursday night the Lakeshore Theater on Belmont and Broadway holds Col. Ritter's Spectacular Hour of Wonderment . This is a variety show that consists of some of the best and worst newcomers of the Chicago area. They have everything from comedians to Juggelers to Burlesque Dancers, they have every sort of entertainment you can think of. The best part of it, is that the audience can yell at the acts.

Rules for Survival:

- They have a bar so be sure to stop there before the show and during intermission. If you don't have much cash bring in a water bottle of your drink of choice, they won't care.

- Everything you say can be heard onstage, no matter how quiet you are. So make sure you don't say anything stupid or else you might get made fun of.

- Some of the acts can get a little stale, so make sure you and your friends are loud at this point. The acts are beginners so they could use your help at entertaining.

- Don't get there too early cause a lot of the time they have a show before it. So the Hour of Wonderment tends to start later.

- Don't look at the acts with a critical eye, you have to find the beauty of each entertainer. Some are great at what they are doing, some are not so good, and some you may not have any idea what they are doing. Just enjoy each for what they are no matter how Good, Bad, or Ugly it may be.

Acts to Check Out:

- The tapdancer, Tristan "The Tapman" Bruns, is amazing.

- The girl folk singer has some very funny and sweet songs.

- Merlin is not very funny, but worth seeing just for how strange it is.

- Most of the jugglers are pretty talented.

-Hulahoop girl is anything but boring she does some pretty crazy stuff.

Acts that Can Only be Entertaining if you are Under the Influence:

- The Chubby Burlesque dancer, give her credit for doing what she is doing.

- The man that rolls silver balls around in his hand. I don't see why he feels like he needs to do this in front of an audience.

- Team Submarine can be funny at times, but usually need help from the audience to get some true homeruns.

- The two cowgirls, not very fun or entertaining. But they do try very hard, by showing their boobs.
